This course is suitable for beginners completely new to the instrument.  Any enthusiastic person of any age with little or no background is welcomed.  The fundamentals of the instrument are introduced.  Simple melodies and scales are also touched upon to give the course a musical dimension.  Students are arranged in different classes depending on their ages and musical backgrounds.  Instrumental rental plan schemes are offered by the Cello Factory Music Shop for students who do not own an instrument.  Through these promotional courses and rental schemes we hope to open the door for more people to discover the joy of playing and expressing themselves through music.

Music Theory is an essential part of music instrument learning process, it is important especially for adult beginners. It distills and analyzes the elements of music – rhythm, harmony, melody, structure, form, and texture. The 16-lesson course will introduce students to the most important concepts of music theory, which is suitable for students preparing for ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory Examination. All students are highly recommended to take this course together with instrument technique and ensemble course.
